The Development of the Lee County Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan began in February of 2010 and is scheduled for completion by December, 2010.

Several meetings will be held as a part of the Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan development process. Please check back here for specific information related to the scheduled dates for the meetings as well as information related to the agenda’s and minutes.

Public Workshop

JULY 19, 2010 PUBLIC WORKSHOP SUMMARY  [NEW]
On July 19, 2010 the Lee County MPO held a Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) Workshop at the Harborside Event Center. The Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan consultant team participated in the Open House, and team members were on hand to answer questions regarding the Lee County Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan. Project maps were on display for public review. Members of the public were asked to leave comments related to the existing systems and the areas of need. At 6 o’clock the RWA Team held a separate interactive workshop dedicated to the Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan. Workshop participants received an overview of the project, its current status and upcoming activities. They also took a real time survey where the results of each question were instantly revealed. The participants were then broken into groups and given large copies of the Needs Map to review and were asked to discuss and identify additional needs, as well to develop a list of priorities. The last part of the session consisted of a general discussion and a question and answer period.
