    FEIS Released for Public Review – December 2009

    The Maine Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration have released the Aroostook County Transportation Study Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS).

    This FEIS addresses both the Tier 1 Aroostook County Transportation Study (ACTS) and one of the Tier 2 segments, Segment 4 – the Route 1-161 Connector in Caribou. A Tier 2 FEIS for the Presque Isle Bypass is expected to be released for public review in the Fall of 2010.

    Comments on the FEIS:

    All comments on the FEIS should be submitted to the individuals listed below. Comments must be received by January 25, 2010 to be considered. Responses to substantive comments will be provided in FHWA’s Record of Decision (ROD), expected to be available in March 2010.
