FHWA issues Record of Decision for the Presque Isle Bypass

FHWA has issued the Record of Decision (ROD) for the proposed Presque Isle Bypass (Adobe PDF, 5MB). The ROD illustrates FHWA's decision in selecting Alignment Option 7 as the preferred alternative for the Bypass, based on the Final Environmental Impact Statement, consultation with agencies and the public, and comments received. The chosen alternative would extend from Route 1 near the Westfield town line, east of Presque Isle, to rejoin Route 1 near Brewer Road, north of the Aroostook River.
