Lake County Design Project
Project Purpose
The purpose of this project is to improve safety, capacity, and traffic flow by constructing exclusive turn lanes on each approach of the intersection. A traffic analysis will also be completed to determine if a traffic signal is warranted.

Anticipated Improvements
The following proposed improvements are anticipated:

  • Construct a southbound left turn lane
  • Construct an eastbound left turn lane
  • Construct an westbound right turn lane
  • Improve corner radii to facilitate turning vehicles
  • Install new pavement marking and signage

    • The results of the traffic analysis concluded that a traffic signal is not warranted at this time.

    Project Schedule
    It is anticipated that the project will be advertised for construction in mid fall of 2007.

    Public Meeting
    A public meeting for the project was held on June 19th at the Eustis Middle School from 6-8PM. At this meeting the recommended improvements were presented to the public. A copy of the presentation material can be viewed in the Documents/Plans section of this website.
