As part of our ongoing relationship with North Shore-LIJ Health System, VHB provided transportation engineering services on two of their expansion projects. Taking place at the Glen Cove Hospital in Glen Cove and at the North Shore University Hospital on the Manhasset campus, both projects involved expansion and modernization of the emergency departments. The modernization of these hospital rooms required a review of pedestrian and visitor use of the adjacent parking areas, as well as an evaluation of routing of emergency vehicles for the area.
