Johns Hopkins Institutions Transportation Analysis and Recommendations
Baltimore, MD

As one of the nation’s leading institutions, Johns Hopkins Institutions (JHI), including Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins Health Systems, comprises a diversity of campuses, academic learning centers and healthcare facilities. As JHI reviewed its existing operations and addressed its development and growth plans, it needed to respond to the ever-changing needs of moving students, faculty, employees, and visitors within its distributed urban and suburban locations safely, securely, and efficiently.

JHI selected VHB to review and assess the current system of transportation services provided by JHI and develop workable, affordable, and comprehensive recommendations for improvements to the system over the near term. Elements of the project include optimizing privately-provided shuttle systems, leveraging access to publicly-provided transportation services, and providing financial analysis to support institutional decision-making.
