About the Project

What is the T.F. Green Airport Improvement Program?
The T.F. Green Airport Improvement program is a series of airport improvements at T.F. Green Airport, which will enhance safety as well as increase efficiency to serve the travel needs of Rhode Island and the greater New England region. The program currently includes Runway 16-34 safety improvements and extending Runway 5-23. Other projects in the improvement program include terminal expansion, fuel farm expansion, a new cargo facility, terminal gate additions as well as parking and roadway improvements.

Because of potential environmental impacts associated with the T.F. Green Airport Improvement Program, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). Please see this map for a list and locations of the proposed improvements (Adobe PDF, 350KB).
