Agency Coordination
As the lead federal agency, the FAA will prepare the Draft EIS and the Final EIS. Federal and state agencies and other interested groups with jurisdiction by law or with special expertise on resources the project may affect have been invited to be in the Coordination Group. To better coordinate the environmental review process for the EIS, the Coordination Group has developed an agreement for working together as partners to coordinate and expedite the environmental review process while also improving decision-making and safeguarding the environment. The Inter/Agency-Tribal Coordination Agreement is attached below.

The Inter-Agency'Tribal Coordination Group met on April 11, 2007 at the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management Offices in Providence Rhode Island to discuss the preliminary environmental consequences findings and mitigation for the T.F. Green Airport Improvement Program. This meeting focused preliminary environmental consequences findings of the Improvement Options on water quality, hazardous materials, noise, air quality, land use, socioeconomic impacts, environmental justice, historic resources, and public parks.
