A comprehensive cultural resource survey forms the basis of cultural resource compliance and preservation planning efforts. VHB's architectural historians provide survey and documentation services that include resource identification and mapping, preparation of National Register of Historic Places nominations, and intensive photographic and narrative documentation of historic building structures according to HABS/HAER standards. Our archaeologists perform field surveys and archival research in support of reconnaissance-level investigations and Phase I Site Identification surveys. We also provide oversight of Phase II Site Significance and Phase III Data Recovery studies, as well management plans and regulatory coordination.
