| Public Involvement
Public Participation Plan
A key component of each study task is public outreach and involvement. An extensive Public Outreach Plan has been integrated into the study scope. The Public Outreach Plan includes public informational meetings, scenario planning workshops, monthly technical and advisory committee meetings, and small group focus sessions – all occurring at key decision making points to engage the public and solicit opinions and feedback.
The following meetings are envisioned throughout the study:
- Public Informational Meetings
- Study Introduction and Overview – An initial informational meeting that will introduce the study, review goals, objectives, and evaluation criteria;
- Existing Conditions Review – An informational meeting to discuss existing conditions, and future assumptions;
- Scenario Planning Workshops – Three scenario planning workshops to identify, evaluation, and screen major infrastructure projects;
- Alternatives Review and Analysis – A workshop following Task 4 to present major infrastructure analysis and evaluation
- Recommended Mobility Plan – A final presentation of results of mobility plan
- Monthly Technical and Advisory Committee Meetings – Throughout the study, monthly small group meetings are planned with the study Technical Committee, Advisory Group, or neighborhood organizations.
- Small Group Focus Sessions – To help resolve specific issues, up to fifteen small group focus sessions are planned with elected officials, business and property owners, or other key stakeholders.
This website will highlight study information including scope, study area, schedule, progress, and contacts for more information. The website will also serve as an additional forum for public and stakeholder comments. Upcoming meeting dates, meeting notes, presentation materials, and study reports will also be available. In addition to this website, other public outreach strategies including press releases will be employed throughout the study process. |
