VHB is pleased to announce that KC Sahl has been promoted to National Director of Offshore Wind. KC brings more than a decade of dedicated offshore wind-energy project experience to his new role where he will work to advance and enhance VHB’s presence in the expanding offshore wind market.

Since joining VHB in 2021, KC has successfully led several large-scale strategic pursuits in support of the growing offshore wind industry. In addition, he has expanded VHB’s offshore wind team, capabilities, and partnerships to serve the evolving needs of the U.S. offshore wind marketplace.

VHB primarily serves the offshore wind industry with lead regulatory, permitting, and technical consultant services. We are currently leading construction and operations plans for two offshore wind farms, and provide planning, design, environmental, engineering and survey consulting services throughout the offshore wind supply chain. In his new role, KC will focus on implementing VHB’s offshore wind strategic framework and integrated-services approach for clients along the East Coast.

“KC will be instrumental in leading VHB to provide innovative solutions to bring offshore wind projects online and create a more sustainable future,” said Kris Dramby, VHB’s Corporate Energy Market Leader. “His experience, prominence in the industry, and unique perspective will guide VHB as we respond to the increased need to address the complexity of offshore development.”

In addition to his new role with VHB, KC was recently appointed by the Mayor of New York as Co-chair of the New York City Offshore Wind Advisory Council, which was established to oversee federal, state, and private investment to drive the City’s clean energy growth and help meet long-term sustainability goals. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic’s effect on in-person connectivity, KC founded Offshore Wind Drinks, an international networking community of more than 1,200 industry professionals. Most recently, KC founded Offshore Wind Environmental Professionals, an organization envisioned as a forum to discuss and collaborate on issues of environmental and social importance to the future of this burgeoning industry. KC also serves on the Board of Directors for New York City’s Natural Areas Conservancy.

In response to his appointment, KC Sahl emphasizes, “As VHB expands our offshore wind services, we strongly believe in fostering opportunities to expand and diversify our network of industry professionals. I commend VHB’s efforts to foster collaboration to best serve the needs of our clients.”

VHB is committed to a clean energy future and advancing renewable energy solutions. With more than 30 offices across the East Coast, VHB delivers future-focused solutions for more sustainable, equitable, and resilient communities. VHB has served the energy industry for more than 30 years and has been involved in many of the earliest U.S. offshore wind projects including Revolution Wind and South Fork Wind.
