VHB is pleased to welcome Marc Hustad, PE, as Managing Director for the company’s Orlando office. Marc will partner with leaders across VHB to support growth in Orlando and will help clients leverage technology and data to encourage a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient Central Florida region.
“Marc is highly-regarded in the AEC industry and brings a broad spectrum of experience and strong leadership qualities to lead our Orlando team and recruit new talent,” said Matt Lamb, Southeast Regional Manager. “He will help Central Florida clients prepare for a rapidly-transforming area, especially with enhancements and grant opportunities in transportation networks.”
Marc has spent the past 28 years leading some of the most complex, integrated, and high-profile transportation projects across the Midwest and Florida, including Tampa’s upcoming Westshore Area interchange and Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise’s Work Program. In a previous position, he managed the State of Florida’s Southwest-Central Florida Connector for the Multi-Use Corridor of Regional & Economic Significance (M-CORES) Program.
“Critical to success in Orlando will be the continued focus and constant evolution of VHB’s technology-enabled, data-informed approach to solving Central Florida clients’ most pressing challenges—especially in the wake of the momentum brought on by the Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act,” said Marc. “VHB’s integrated team approach in Orlando sets us apart and there’s no limit to what we can achieve together.”
Clients trust Marc’s keen understanding of complex projects in tolling, planning, highways, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), traffic, and freight movement. In recognition, he was awarded the Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise’s Enterprise Leader of the Year (2015) and was named by the Milwaukee Business Journal as a Forty Under 40 leader (2006).
Prior to VHB, Marc was Vice President and Program Manager at HNTB. He received his master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
