Moffitt Cancer Center at SouthShore and Northwell Health Petrocelli Surgical Pavilion were selected by Healthcare Design magazine for its annual design showcase issue comprised of peer-reviewed projects that elevate healing environments across facility types and locations. VHB was the civil engineer and landscape architect for both projects. The Moffitt satellite clinic is located 30 miles from Moffitt’s signature cancer center in Tampa. The project was recognized for its welcoming design and intrinsic wayfinding, with soft, naturally lit waiting spaces. The Northwell Health Petrocelli Surgical Pavilion is an addition to their flagship campus on Long Island. The team blended the material and scale of the existing hospital so that patient experience is paramount.
