Development Magazine, NAIOP’s publication focused on commercial real estate, recently featured an article on the repositioning of an abandoned brownfield in Portsmouth, Virginia, into a state-of-the-art cold storage facility for Lineage Logistics (Lineage). Authored by VHB’s Ken Rodman, Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Team Leader, the article highlights how a public-private collaboration resulted in an $84 million investment by Lineage in a new facility that strengthened the Port of Virginia’s supply chain infrastructure, created more than 80 new high-paying jobs, and repositioned the former BASF site for productive use and economic benefits.
