VHB is excited to announce that Fyiad Constantine has joined the company as Mid-Atlantic Director of Transportation Engineering and Construction. With more than 20 years of experience in engineering, construction, and project management, Fyiad brings a strong track record of delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget, while improving operational efficiency and building consensus among diverse stakeholders.
Fyiad most recently served at the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) and the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority (VPRA), where he advanced passenger and freight rail initiatives across the Commonwealth of Virginia. During this time, he collaborated with numerous partners, earning a reputation for his results-driven approach and collaborative leadership. Prior to that, he spent a decade at CSX Transportation managing more than $400 million in capital construction projects, where he also gained extensive experience in freight rail operations and safety including forensic engineering of derailments and disaster recovery.
At VHB, Fyiad will play a key role in advancing transit and rail design and construction projects, leading alternative delivery initiatives, including design-build and public-private partnerships. Fyiad’s extensive network and experience with agencies such as the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), District Department of Transportation (DDOT), Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), DRPT, VPRA, CSX, Norfolk Southern, and Virginia Railway Express will strengthen VHB’s ability to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions.
