HB CEO & Chair Mike Carragher has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the FIDIC Global Leadership Forum and will chair a panel discussion at the forum's 2026 summit in Athens, Greece, being held April 15-17.
The Global Leadership Forum is a coalition of approximately 100 infrastructure leaders convened by the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) to address critical challenges in delivering resilient, sustainable infrastructure. Formed in 2021, the forum brings together CEOs and senior decision-makers to tackle key industry issues.
Mike will represent the ACEC Research Institute, the leading research and thought leadership organization for the engineering industry in the U.S. As a member of the ACEC Research Institute's board of directors and past chair, Mike has contributed to the advancement of the organization's influence through data-driven studies on economic trends, procurement practices, workforce evolution, and emerging technologies—research that informs strategic decision-making across the profession.
At the summit, Mike will chair a panel titled "Firm of the Future: From Predictions to Practice," drawing on new ACEC Research Institute data to explore how leading engineering firms are evolving from traditional consultancies to technology-enabled solution providers. The session will examine AI-augmented design, business model innovation, and the shift toward value-based pricing and strategic client partnerships.
"The infrastructure industry is at an inflection point," said Mike. "Firms are rethinking how they deliver value, how they price their work, and how their people and teams transition their engagement and use of evolving technologies. I'm looking forward to chairing this discussion and learning from leaders around the world who are already making these shifts."
The 2026 forum will focus on leading the delivery of future-ready infrastructure, with discussions spanning digital transformation, climate resilience, workforce evolution, and cross-sector collaboration.
