VHB is excited to announce that Ron Kudla, PE, has joined VHB as the Northeast Regional Structures Leader, based out of our Long Island office. This strategic appointment strengthens VHB’s ability to deliver forward-looking, integrated structural solutions that meet the evolving infrastructure needs of clients and communities.
In this role, Ron will guide structural services throughout the region, supporting bridge, vertical, transit, rail, aviation, and site/civil infrastructure projects. He will collaborate closely with teams across markets to drive innovative, high-quality designs that enhance safety, connectivity, and long-term performance.
Ron brings more than 30 years of experience with the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), where he served as the Director of Structures in their Long Island Office. Throughout his career, Ron has managed all phases of structural engineering projects—from scoping and design to construction and maintenance—across a variety of delivery methods, including design-bid-build and design-build contracts. His in-depth knowledge of public infrastructure and strong relationships with local and state agencies position him to effectively lead projects that improve safety and mobility in the Northeast.

Ron holds a Professional Engineer license and has developed a reputation for delivering practical, forward-thinking solutions that address today’s infrastructure challenges.
