VHB Orlando was awarded the 2026 Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC™) designation for its commitment to helping employees get to work safely, sustainably, and efficiently. This marks the fifth consecutive year VHB has been honored with this recognition.
Best Workplaces for Commuters is a national membership and certification program that distinguishes employers offering exceptional commuter benefit programs to their employees. To qualify, organizations must meet standards that demonstrate support for sustainable transportation, such as providing access to transit benefits, carpool and vanpool programs, flexible schedules, and active transportation options. VHB takes pride in our commuter benefits, and we invest in employees through a flexible, hybrid work environment.
“Along with reducing mileage and fuel costs, VHB’s Transit Flexible Spending Account cuts my daily fare in half. It’s a win-win for me. Starting and ending my workday with SunRail has helped me reclaim valuable time and energy that would otherwise be lost to traffic,” said Danny Rivera, Creative Design Manager.
Across VHB’s footprint, the company continues to enhance its mobility and commuter-support offerings, which include:
- A Transit Flexible Spending Account that allows employees to set aside pre-tax dollars for commuting by public transportation, with VHB covering 50 percent of eligible monthly costs up to the maximum tax-free limit.
- A dynamic Evolving Workplace philosophy that emphasizes a flexible, hybrid work model including remote-work options and adjustable start and end times to help reduce commuting stress and better support employees’ diverse needs.
“My typical commute involves driving through tolls and usually takes around 45 minutes in the morning and about an hour in the afternoon. Having a flexible/hybrid schedule at VHB has made a big difference. I can plan my office days to minimize time in traffic and manage toll costs more thoughtfully. Overall, this flexibility has lowered my commuting stress and helped me maintain a better work–life balance,” said Brendan Guess, Program Manager.
“VHB’s commitment to thoughtful commuting options aligns directly with our broader sustainability goals,” Brendan added. By encouraging alternatives to single-occupancy vehicle travel, we help reduce congestion and emissions in the communities we serve while enhancing quality of life for employees.”
VHB remains focused on evolving its commuter benefits as workplace needs, technologies, and travel patterns continue to change. The BWC recognition affirms our ongoing efforts to provide meaningful, forward-thinking support for employees on the job and on the way there.
