VHB Orlando and Gulf Coast offices have been recognized as one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC™) for 2025, joining over 800 innovative organizations across the U.S. and Canada. This honor, which VHB has been awarded for three consecutive years, celebrates our outstanding commuter benefits that help employees save money, reduce stress, and create positive change in their communities.
"Supporting VHB employee commuters creates ripple effects far beyond our office walls," said Kathleen Keen, VHB Gulf Coast Managing Director. "We have a best-in-class benefits package and wellness programs which reflect our dedication to our community and our team's well-being."
VHB’s commuter benefits program includes promoting employee use of sustainable alternate commuter options whenever possible through commutability program benefits. Employees who use public transit on a regular basis to travel to and from work can elect a Transit Flexible Spending Account. VHB contributes 50 percent of the cost of a monthly pass, up to the maximum tax-free benefit amount. Employees who commute to work can contribute up to the taxable limit for eligible parking expenses.
VHB Florida commuters also have access to a hybrid work policy, electric vehicle charging stations, and bicycle facilities. Commuter benefits like these support sustainability, which is a foundational element of VHB’s practice and an integral part of building our foundation for the future.
Pete Pavao, VHB Orlando Operations Manager, said his employees commute to work in many ways, including bicycle, skateboard, and scooter.
“We understand the value of sustainable, active transportation and diverse commuting choices make for our employees,” said Pete. “We are modeling many of the same recommendations we make for clients, and creating positive community impact through smart transportation choices.”
To qualify as one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters, VHB met the National Standard of Excellence in commuter benefits, showcasing their forward-thinking workplace innovations. The BWC designation also highlights VHB’ commitment to:
- Enhancing employee work-life balance through flexible commuting options
- Attracting and keeping top talent through comprehensive mobility benefits
- Optimizing facility costs through efficient transportation solutions
