VHB welcomes Wes Parker, PE, PTOE, as Local Government Transportation Lead for VHB RVA | Hampton Roads, bringing 18 years of experience in all aspects of transportation engineering, project management, and innovative roadway design.
Wes brings a blend of technical knowledge and practical problem-solving, with experience providing staff augmentation and project management services for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and municipalities throughout Virginia and North Carolina. At VHB, Wes will lead multidisciplinary projects, guiding traffic engineering, roadway and drainage design, signal development, and transportation planning. His focus on collaborative, context-driven solutions will strengthen VHB’s commitment to improving communities through thoughtful, integrated design.
A licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland, Wes is also a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with a minor in Engineering Management, from Old Dominion University and was recognized as a Hampton Roads 40 Under 40 honoree and is a past president of the Virginia Section of ITE (VASITE). Wes also currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Board at ABNB Federal Credit Union.
