Rhode Island Department of Transportation
Providence, RI

One of the most traveled segments along the entire I-95 corridor, the Providence Viaduct is vital to Rhode Island and the northeast region’s economy. The aging, 1,290-foot-long bridge is in dire need of replacement. Focused on improving Rhode Island’s future, RIDOT has turned to VHB as their long-term, trusted advisor. From bridge inspection and replacement design, to help obtaining funding, VHB has been RIDOTs partner in driving this important project forward—all while maintaining traffic flow to make sure that Providence stays open for business.
