For the 28th year, VHB employees came together to support causes that matter most to their communities through VBay, the company's signature charitable event. This annual tradition is hosted by VHB Cares, the company's employee-led philanthropic group, and all proceeds go to charities chosen across offices throughout VHB’s footprint.

This year’s VBay auction held April 23–30, raised more than $56,000 through contributions from both VHB and its employees. The effort brings the company’s total charitable contributions since its founding to more than $5 million.

An impressive variety of auction items were donated, ranging from weekend getaways and sporting event tickets to handmade treats, original artwork, and unique local experiences.

President Bill Ashworth emphasized the collective effort behind VBay, noting, “VBay reflects the commitment and generosity of our people. Thank you to the VBay organizers, the VHB Cares team, and every VHBer who contributed donations, volunteered their time, and participated as bidders. Congratulations on another successful effort to raise funds that help make a meaningful difference in our communities.”

“Every year, employees show up with incredible generosity and creativity. The variety of donations and the energy throughout the week remind me why this tradition means so much to our team and the communities we support, said VBay co-organizer and Managing Director, Gulf Coast, Kathleen Keen.

“It takes a lot of coordination to bring VBay together, but seeing participation across our footprint makes it all worth it,” said VBay co-organizer and Transportation Consultant Abigail Sheusi.

VBay is one of several initiatives led by VHB Cares throughout the year. The group also organizes the VHB Jimmy Fund Golf Tournament, which over 33 years has raised more than $1.8 million for cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, along with volunteer events and local office fundraisers that reflect our commitment to making a meaningful difference in our communities.
