VHB has strengthened its transit and rail capabilities with the addition of Ravi Amin, PE, as Director of Transit and Rail Engineering for the Mid-Atlantic region, based in Washington, DC. He will help lead the delivery and growth of rail and transit design and construction services for agencies across the region.

As agencies advance complex rail and transit programs, the need for experienced leadership in track design, system maintenance, and capital delivery continues to grow. Ravi brings more than 20 years of experience supporting major operating agencies, including the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), Maryland Transit Administration, New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and Amtrak, with a focus on improving reliability, expanding capacity, and delivering large-scale infrastructure programs.

At VHB, Ravi enhances the firm’s ability to support clients through every phase of project delivery, from planning and design to construction and alternative delivery, while strengthening partnerships with transit agencies and state departments of transportation across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.

“Ravi brings a depth of experience and perspective that aligns with how we support our clients and partners,” said Mark Colgan, Mid-Atlantic Transportation Market Leader. “His understanding of complex rail systems and collaborative delivery helps us continue building practical solutions that advance mobility and strengthen the communities we serve.”

Ravi’s leadership builds on VHB’s growing portfolio of transit and rail work and supports continued collaboration across regions to deliver integrated transportation solutions.
