VHB announces the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors: Ryan McManus, founder, techtonic.io, as an Independent Director, and Fabricio Ponce, Senior Vice President and Piedmont-Atlantic Regional Manager, as a Stockholder-at-Large member. In addition, President Bill Ashworth has been re-elected to the Board for another three-year term.

As an employee-owned, generational company, VHB’s governance model is designed to reflect the perspectives of its stockholders while incorporating independent insight. The nine-member Board is elected by VHB stockholders and is composed of three senior employees nominated by the President, three employees nominated by a stockholder-led committee, and three independent directors nominated by the Board.

VHB’s Board is responsible for the governance of the firm, and its role is distinct from day-to-day management, focusing on the firm’s long-term direction, policies, and leadership alignment with the interests of employee-owners.

Ryan joins the Board as an accomplished technology entrepreneur, executive, and advisor with extensive experience in digital transformation and emerging technologies. He is the founder of techtonic.io, where he advises Fortune 500 companies, governments, startups, and investors on emerging technology, business model strategy, and investment.

Ryan currently serves on the Board of Nortech Systems, where he chairs the science and technology committee, on the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) New York Chapter where he serves as president, and on the NACD’s National Technology and Governance Advisory Board. He also serves on the advisory boards of several AI and technology startups.

Fabricio brings deep operational leadership and regional experience to the Board. He leads VHB’s Piedmont-Atlantic Region, overseeing strategic growth and operations across Georgia and North Carolina, with a team of more than 300 VHBers. Since joining VHB more than a decade ago, Fabricio has played a key role in expanding the firm’s presence in the Southeast. After relocating to Atlanta in 2019, he led the growth of VHB’s Georgia offices, tripling their size through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Bill stepped into the role of VHB President in January 2026. He’s focused on driving strategic growth and leading VHB through rapid industry change and emerging opportunities. Bill champions the thoughtful integration of technology and innovation to accelerate impact while strengthening our generational, people-focused culture. A well-recognized and respected leader, Bill’s career reflects a deep commitment to service, collaboration, and building lasting partnerships that advance client success and foster resilient, sustainable communities.

“Each member of our Board brings distinct experience and perspective that strengthens how we guide VHB,” said Mike Carragher, Chair. “Our rigorous selection process reflects the critical role the Board plays in shaping our long-term direction. I’m looking forward to working with Ryan and Fabricio, along with our entire Board, as we navigate a period of significant change in our industry and beyond.”

These appointments reflect VHB’s continued focus on strong governance, strategic growth, and thoughtful integration of innovation.
