Last month, VHB gathered in Watertown, Massachusetts, to honor 18 employees and teams behind some of the firm's most impactful work this year. The annual RISE Project Awards ceremony spotlighted outstanding project achievements in collaboration, innovation, client satisfaction, and technical performance.
"What sets these projects apart is how the teams handled complexity. They found solutions that worked, built strong client relationships, and delivered results," said President & CEO Mike Carragher, who opened the ceremony and presented several awards alongside Chief Development Officer Mike McArdle and Executive Markets Lead Steven McElligott.
Winning projects represented a diverse array of services spanning the transportation, real estate, institutional, energy, and federal markets, as well as state and local government sectors.
The awards recognize individuals and teams who successfully manage complex challenges, develop innovative solutions, and create lasting value for clients and communities. Winners were selected through an internal review process evaluating project work across multiple criteria.
As each winner took the stage, they used their time to acknowledge the colleagues who made their achievements possible—a reminder that our best work happens through collaboration. VHBers outside of Watertown joined via livestream for the ceremony, part of a nearly 30-year tradition.
The RISE Project Awards are part of VHB's broader RISE Awards program, which also celebrates Culture Champions and Rising Professionals, who were recognized earlier in the year. Read about the 2025 Culture Champions and Rising Professionals.
Congratulations to our 2025 Rise Award winners!
