VHB’s Gulf Coast office has once again been recognized as a Best Place to Work by the Tampa Bay Business Journal—one of only 65 workplaces in Tampa to earn this distinction in a highly competitive market.
Employees and their families celebrated placing 13th in the Small Business category with fun, food, and festivities on April 30 at Raymond James Stadium.
“We’re proud to be part of a region that’s growing and evolving so quickly—and even prouder that our team is helping shape that future,” said Kathleen Keen, Gulf Coast Managing Director. “Being named a Best Place to Work reinforces that when our people thrive, our projects and our communities do too.”
VHB’s Gulf Coast team includes 35 engineers, scientists, planners, and designers in our Tampa and Sarasota offices who are partnering on some of the most transformational projects in the Greater Tampa Bay region, including a new Hospital’s associated outpatient facilities, a Veterans’ Affairs (VA) outpatient clinic, The Tampa Bay Region Post-Disaster Redevelopment Planning (PDRP), and the high-profile Manasota Key Road reconstruction in Sarasota.
VHB invests in continuous learning and professional growth through our robust Learning & Development program. We offer employees opportunities to build technical excellence, strengthen leadership skills, and advance their careers through mentoring, training, and participation in VHB’s signature leadership development programs, including LEADS. Our commitment to development empowers every team member to grow, contribute, and shape the future of our region and company.
Our generational company culture encourages flexibility and personal growth through a wide range of benefits, including:
- com: Adoption/parental aid, tuition reimbursement, and honorariums

These team-led groups support local charitable initiatives, including events such as Miles for Moffitt, which benefits the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation; a dog walk for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay; and internal fundraising supporting both charities.
“Every project we deliver reflects our commitment to strengthening the communities where we live and work,” said Matt Lamb, Southeast Regional Manager. “From infrastructure to environmental stewardship, our teams are delivering innovative solutions that support the region’s evolving needs.”
