Evergreen Crossings is a 125-room independent retirement community owned by Resort Lifestyle Communities, a leading provider of all-inclusive senior living communities in the United States. This senior living facility includes one, two, and three-bedroom residences, along with a wide range of on-site amenities centrally located along a corridor known as “Main Street.” Residents benefit from an in-house bank, pharmacy, salon, movie theatre, fitness and social gathering areas that support connectivity and an active lifestyle.
VHB’s integrated services team developed the site plan and supporting infrastructure for this new 15-acre development. Thoughtful planning connected Evergreen Crossings with nearby retail and community destinations, offering residents and families convenient access to local services. We prioritized outdoor spaces, pedestrian-friendly walking paths on the perimeter, and seating areas that encourage daily activity and social interaction. Through close coordination with the architect, client, and local agencies, VHB helped to create an attractive, context-sensitive streetscape that supports resident mobility, meets traffic and parking needs, and contributes to a high-quality senior living environment for the South Windsor community.
