VHB partnered with Safe Harbor Marinas to transform Safe Harbor Cove Haven into a vibrant, amenity-rich marina for racing yachts and recreational boats. The reimagined marina features a pool house, pool, splash pad, arbor, open lawn, grilling spaces, and improved waterfront access—all designed to elevate the member experience.
VHB guided the marina’s redevelopment from concept through construction, focusing on creating resilient, functional waterfront infrastructure. By designing a new bulkhead, the team raised the site grade by approximately five feet—transforming a previously unusable acre of low-lying land into valuable space and removing an obsolete boat ramp. VHB also oversaw the design of a stormwater detention system, which was developed in partnership with RMA Environmental, LLC, to support long-term site resilience. The project also introduced modern amenities including an access pier, ADA-compliant gangway, and safety railings. The result is a high-functioning marina with expanded usability and enhanced coastal durability.
