VHB is pleased to announce that Dave Fenstermacher, PE, will lead the Bedford, NH, office as Managing Director. In this role, Dave will oversee strategic growth and will continue to develop and sustain relationships with our client partners across all markets. His visibility and reputation in the real estate, institutional, energy, and local government markets will continue driving VHB’s prominence in New Hampshire forward.
Throughout his 26-year career at VHB, Dave has managed on-call contracts with long-term clients and multidisciplinary teams, and he’s helped advance complex land planning, design, and construction projects for private and public-sector clients across the region. Dave has also provided site/civil design and permitting support on several energy projects throughout New England.
In addition to advancing client expansion plans and repositioning existing assets to create value, Dave’s experience has included providing civil engineering design services for the new Gordon Center for Creative and Performing Arts building at Colby College in Maine; leading the design for a 250-unit multi-family residential project for Saxon Properties as well as a 600-student housing bed project for Dartmouth College in Lebanon, NH; and supporting CVS on their program expansion in Northern New England.
“Dave is well known throughout the region for his civil engineering, site design, utility infrastructure design, due diligence, permitting, and permit strategy,” said Tom Jackmin, Senior Vice President and New England Regional Manager. “Watching him deliver on his land development vision growth plan over the last few years has been impressive, and I’m excited to have him provide this same level of success at an officewide level.”
Dave is a graduate of Virginia Polytech Institute and State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maine and is a member of Innovating Commerce Serving Communities (ICSC) and the New Hampshire Commercial Investment Board of REALTORS®.
