Fabricio Ponce, PE, Managing Director – Atlanta, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Council for Quality Growth (Board of Directors - Council for Quality Growth) in Atlanta, Georgia. The CQG works on behalf of the development industry and in collaboration with elected officials and government staff to make certain that metro Atlanta thrives by promoting balanced and responsible growth through advocacy, information, and education. The Council operates within a 10-county area of metro Atlanta that comprises 95 local governments serving more than 4.5 million residents.
As Managing Director of VHB's growing Atlanta office, Fabricio leads a group of more than 65 transportation, community planners, land development, and environmental professionals on some of the most significant projects in the metro Atlanta region, including developing a Regional Safety Strategy for the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), leading transit hub studies for Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), preparing the Atlanta Transportation Plan, and developing the Gwinnet Place Revitalization Strategy for the Gwinnett Place Community Improvement District (CID). He has spent more than two decades fostering relationships with local governments, state agencies, transit agencies, and private developers in both Georgia and Florida, with a focus on enhancing communities through transportation planning, engineering, community planning and land development that elevate sustainability, equity, and resiliency.
