VHB Raleigh, located on NC State University’s Centennial Campus, recently hosted the inaugural Pack Leaders Networking Night, bringing together engineering students and industry leaders for an evening of conversation, mentorship, and career exploration.
The event featured a panel discussion with leaders from several prominent organizations, including Adrianne Elder and Sarah Spagnola of Duke Energy; David Posehn and Jordan Hjelmquist of Pfizer; John Boyd, Matt Parson, and Udo Sglavo of SAS; and Lauren Triebert, Project Development Lead with VHB. Moderated by Hjelmquist, the panelists shared insights on a wide range of topics, from cloud infrastructure and AI to navigating career paths in engineering and technology.
Students came prepared with thoughtful questions and shared their own aspirations, creating an engaging and energizing dialogue.
Charlie Townsend, VHB Land Development Team Leader, welcomed attendees at the start of the evening.
“At VHB, we’re proud to invest in the next generation of engineers and innovators,” Charlie said. “Partnering with NC State gives us a chance to support students while also strengthening connections that advance our industry and community.”
“It was inspiring to hear from such talented students who are eager to shape the future,” said Caroline Baldauff, Infrastructure & Automation Architect at SAS and planning committee member. “Their curiosity and willingness to learn made the discussion incredibly meaningful.”
