Skybrooke is a 120-bed senior living community offering independent and assisted living, as well as memory care, situated within The Ridge at Talcott Mountain development. Nestled near the Farmington River in Simsbury, Skybrooke provides residents with a variety of living environments and on-site amenities as well as convenient access to nearby physicians, pharmacies, and other neighborhood services that support aging in place.
VHB’s integrated services team prepared the master site development plan for The Ridge at Talcott Mountain, a new mixed-use community, and worked with the owner to subdivide the 40-acre lot, creating a dedicated parcel for Skybrooke within the overall development. Collaborating closely with CA Senior Living, we developed a comprehensive site plan and supporting infrastructure, including roadways, access drives, parking, pedestrian walkways, and site amenities. Our landscape architects designed a comprehensive landscape plan featuring a Memory Garden, independent living garden areas, a rooftop terrace, and green roof. These thoughtfully designed spaces promote wellness, offer welcoming outdoor spaces that connect people to nature, and enrich the quality of life for older adults who choose to age in place within the Simsbury community.
