VHB designed, developed, and deployed a mobile application with a map-based interface for users to view the currently posted travel time information for routes on selected Real-Time Traffic Information System (RTTIS) signs. Our solution used static route data (link geometry) and dynamic travel time data provided via the MassDOT RTTIS API feed to provide more accurate estimates for travel times. The mobile application also allows the users to save their favorite routes for easy access on future trips.
