Myrtle Beach International Airport Master Plan Update

Myrtle Beach, SC

Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is South Carolina’s second-busiest airport behind Charleston, with more than two million passengers per year. As Myrtle Beach continues to grow as a major American seasonal tourist destination, as part of a team under Parrish and Partners, VHB was an integral part of the airport’s master plan development, providing demand/capacity assessments; facility requirements; landside, roadway, and vehicular parking analyses; alternatives assessments; and sustainability implementation planning. The airport is unique in its larger land footprint with available land that could provide significant non-aeronautical revenue generation. VHB is looking at creative ways to enhance this master plan by providing more detailed analyses of land-use that applies to Horry County’s economic and market conditions.
