Myrtle Beach International Airport Master Plan Update

Myrtle Beach, SC

Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is South Carolina’s second-busiest airport behind Charleston, with more than two million passengers per year. As Myrtle Beach continues to grow as a major American seasonal tourist destination, as part of a team under Parrish and Partners, VHB was an integral part of the airport’s master plan development, providing demand/capacity assessments; facility requirements; landside, roadway, and vehicular parking analyses; alternatives assessments; and sustainability implementation planning. The airport is unique in its larger land footprint with available land that could provide significant non-aeronautical revenue generation. VHB is looking at creative ways to enhance this master plan by providing more detailed analyses of land use that applies to Horry County’s economic and market conditions.
