The Prudential Center Redevelopment strengthens one of Boston’s most transit-connected districts through strategic planning, infrastructure upgrades, and public-realm improvements that support transit-oriented development (TOD) growth. Situated above regional transit assets and served by the MBTA Green and Orange Lines, the expanded mixed-use destination reinforces the value of concentrating jobs, retail, and amenities in walkable urban centers.
VHB’s transportation planning, infrastructure design, and environmental permitting helped the project align with City sustainability goals and multimodal access requirements. Our team prepared a Transportation Access Plan and Environmental Impact Report to advance a design that accommodates heavy pedestrian activity, supports transit circulation, and unlocks long-term development potential around a high-capacity transit node.
