Virginia Museum of History & Culture

Richmond, VA

The Virginia Museum of History & Culture underwent a six-year, $30 million, 250,000-square-foot expansion and renovation plan. The last phase, completed in 2022, included the redesign of the Museum's drop-off area, 177-space parking expansion, and reconfiguration of the adjacent green space next to the parking lot, which added stormwater management features.

Through VHB’s civil engineering and landscape architecture services, the completed project creates an inviting, pedestrian-friendly exterior and new lawn space for Museum events and gathering. The newly designed entrance provides a bright and welcoming atmosphere to attract audiences of all ages and immerse visitors in the historical and cultural experience.
