Living Spaces Distribution Facility

Buford, GA

VHB partnered with IDI Logistics to develop a one million-square-foot speculative warehouse, transforming the core and shell space into a cutting-edge retail and distribution facility for Living Spaces, an online furniture retailer. This project signifies a strategic expansion for Living Spaces into the Eastern U.S., with the site poised to play a crucial role in its logistics network.

VHB’s comprehensive land development services included detailed surveying for the consolidation of multiple land parcels and the development of engineering plans for the construction of the 58-acre site. Our team provided vital environmental services, assisting with wetlands impacts and stream buffers and conducting a runoff reduction volume feasibility study to help inform stormwater management. In addition, we guided the client through the permitting process with the City of Buford and Gwinnett County, Army Corps of Engineers, and Georgia Environmental Protection. The development benefited from a new connection to Interstate 85 at Gravel Springs Road, alongside the City‘s support for industrial use. This project served as an economic catalyst for the region, creating new jobs and reinforcing VHB’s commitment to empowering retailers with distribution and fulfillment space in burgeoning markets.
