Trident Logistics Center represents the repositioning of the former Global Petroleum facility into a modern warehouse and distribution campus. Located along Route 1A—just two miles from Logan International Airport and less than six miles from the Port of Boston's Paul W. Conley Container Terminal—this 44-acre site is one of Greater Boston's most strategically positioned logistics centers.
Phase I was completed in 2026, a 367,000-square-foot speculative warehouse with 40-foot clear height, 60 loading docks, 80 trailer drops, and office and amenity space designed to meet evolving tenants needs. Phase II will consist of a 267,000-square-foot speculative warehouse with 40-foot clear height, 42 loading docks, and 77 trailer drops.
VHB's integrated approach helped unlock the site's potential by turning regulatory complexity into a clear path forward. By coordinating civil engineering, environmental planning, and transportation analysis from the outset, our team helped navigate overlapping state and local approvals efficiently—securing site plan approval, MEPA clearance, MassDOT permits, and wetlands authorizations while maintaining project momentum. Early-phase surveying and site assessments informed design decisions that maximized the site's development capacity, while stormwater and transportation solutions addressed infrastructure constraints before they became obstacles.
The result: a faster path to construction, reduced risk for the developers, and a design that positions the facility to attract tenants seeking immediate access to Boston's air and sea freight networks.
